Oral Presentation Guidelines

The program is available to view here. Authors accepted as oral presentations were notified in July 2019. If you decide to withdraw your abstract, please advise us as soon as possible so that the program can be adjusted accordingly.
The Meeting venue for 2019 is the Sydney International Convention Centre.
A Speakers' Preparation Room will be located on the Ground Floor of the Convention Centre. The venue halls are equipped with a laptop and data projector and you will have the choice of a lectern, lapel or handheld microphone. If you require any other equipment, please advise us via email to email@example.com
The Convention Centre has wireless internet access.
PowerPoint slide and Speakers’ Preparation Room
Please create your PowerPoint presentation in the 16:9 ratio, as this is the best display for the venue screens. Please take this presentation on a USB stick to the Speakers' Preparation Room, at least 2 hours prior to the start of the session you are presenting in. The AV technicians will load it onto the Meeting PCs and return your USB stick.
The Speakers' Preparation Room is located on the Ground Floor of Sydney Convention Centre, and is open the followig times:
Thursday 17 October: 0800-1630hrs
Friday 18 October: 0630-1630hrs
Saturday 19 October: 0630-1630hrs
As a back up we recommend you bring two copies on separate memory sticks, and that you bring any video and audio files embedded into your presentation as separate files.
If you would prefer to bring your own laptop, please ensure you visit your presentation room in plenty of time prior to your talk to ensure your laptop can be tested. If using a Mac, please also bring your own HDMI adaptor.

Please prepare your 15 minute presentation time to consist of 10 minutes presentation and 5 minutes questions.
Please take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with your session venue (details will be in the Meeting App and Website) and audio visual equipment at some stage before you are scheduled to speak.
Please be in your session venue at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your session and introduce yourself to your session chairperson.
Slides for your Disclosure Statement
Please click here to download PowerPoint slides for your disclosures. These slides are for all presentations.
One of these slides needs to be included at the beginning of each presentation please.
Please make sure you delete the statements which are not applicable to you.
These will be reviewed at the Speakers' Preparation Room and if you have been unable to include a slide the technician will automatically include a slide noting that the Disclosure Statement was not returned.
Recording and Copyright Consent
As part of Sleep DownUnder’s strategy to provide continuing professional development opportunities for our Members, some sessions during the Annual Scientific Meeting will be recorded. If any of your talks are scheduled in these sessions we will forward permissions form nearer to the Meeting.
Please note that acceptance of your abstract is taken as confirmation of your agreement to have your abstract published in the Meeting Proceedings and/or Meeting app.
Abstract Withdrawal Policy
If you decide to withdraw your abstract, please let us know as soon as possible so that the program can be adjusted accordingly. Final date to withdraw abstracts is 9 September 2019. To view the abstract withdrawal policy click here.
All presenting authors (oral and poster) must register and pay to attend the Meeting by 31 July 2019, to be included in the abstract publication and Meeting App. Otherwise we regret that your presentation will have to be removed from the program.

Students must submit a letter from their supervisor defining their student status and include a copy of their current student card when registering for the Meeting. On registration, students will be asked to email this documentation to firstname.lastname@example.org.
