General Information

Entry into Australia
Unless you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, you will need a visa to enter Australia. All other passport holders must apply for a visa before leaving home. Visit immi.homeaffairs.gov.au for more information.

Please note that all food, plant and animal related material (such as feathers, skins or bone) must be declared on arrival and will be checked by officials. If in doubt, declare it. The process is usually very efficient, but failure to declare prohibited goods leads to severe penalties.

Insurance
It is strongly recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover the duration of your visit.

Transport to and from Brisbane Airport
Brisbane's main airport is located approximately 15-20 minute drive (13 km) from Brisbane CBD. Transport is available via transfers, taxi, ride share, train and bus.

Airtrain
Brisbane's Airtrain is Brisbane's convenient rail link, whisking you from the Airport to the City in 20 minutes or express to the Gold Coast in modern, air-conditioned trains with free Wi-Fi, luggage space, and accessible facilities, running frequently with easy booking and payment options for a stress-free journey. Taxi
Taxi ranks are located at the front of all terminals – simply follow the signs to the nearest taxi ranks.

Brisbane's climate sees average temperatures ranging from 19 to 28 degrees Celsius during this time of year.

Power
Australia system uses a flat, angled two or three-point power plug to connect to the power supply which is 240 volts 50 Hz. This is compatible with New Zealand power plugs; you will require an adaptor for other systems.

Brisbane is +10 hours ahead of GMT.

Dress for all scientific sessions and social functions is business casual.

Name Badges
Name badges will be given to all delegates on registration, we ask that you wear your badge at all times, including social functions.
